We will definitely be going to Kauai to hike the Kalalau Trail. In Tony's Backpacker magazine it was listed a reader's choice and this hike looks amazing. It's about 11 miles one way. The Sierra Club listed it as a 9 out of 10 in terms of difficulty. But the end of the trail is a secluded beach! I've read some reviews of the hike and it seems grueling - but just imagine the view.
And a funny coincidence - we rented The Perfect Getaway last night. We really like the movie - but the trail that they are hiking was the Kalalau Trail.
